Country Sausage Pinwheels

A fantastic breakfast and/or appetizer awaits anyone who tries this recipe!

Use your favorite homemade biscuit dough, or pick up some dough from the store.  Either way, these pinwheels are a delicious and savory treat. We suggest squirreling away a few of these pinwheels so you can have a little snack when your guests go home. 

Country Sausage Pinwheels


1 Batch Biscuit Dough, Store-Bought or Homemade

1 lb Country Sausage, Loose or Patties

1/2 lb Cheddar, Grated 


Step 1

Flour countertop and roll out biscuit dough until 1/4" thick. 

Step 2 

Spread sausage evenly over dough, leave a 1" area without sausage on one edge.

Step 3

Sprinkle with grated cheese. 

Step 4

Roll tightly toward the edge without sausage, and cut into 1/2" rounds. 

Step 5 

Butter baking sheet and place rolls on the pan, leaving 1" around each. 

Step 6

Bake at 375° for 25 minutes, or until golden brown.
